Post your rugby photos

Your rugby pics don't cease to amaze me. The expressions on the players' faces alone! The player in green and yellow sitting on the grass looks like he's about to cry, which I'm sure is not true, but oh my...

Definitely, lots of different perspectives and sometimes some elements of defeat in a photo work well. I usually post many many photos of each match online, even photos that I would not show on photography sites, because I know the players do like him. Same with series/ sequences, the adage is that you should pick the best one, but I often just post the whole sequence as (some) people like it if they can see all the different poses and expressions in a burst.

For my instagram I always try to alter the images (at least the tiles on my feed) a bit so I don't have the same thing over and over again. Or the same players as some players are more often captured in great action than others.

The only 'negative' is the time required for culling and post-processing as I take many photos per match and edit several 100's of it, while probably each of my rugby photos is cropped.

Some more ladies rugby from this season's archive, time to shoot some more later this weekend (if I don't freeze over):

Again excellent shots.
As to the freezing: thermal underwear, my friend!
I definitely be wearing thermals and multiple layers and will bring gloves as well :) . There are 2 matches with about 30 minutes in between, so will be sitting pitchside for about 4 hours. Clothing is paramount (especially as I do not like hot fluids like coffee, tea or soup).
