Post Your Best Flower Photos

An older shot taken with my Canon, nifty-fifty, @ f/4, 1/100, ISO 160, and my long gone, Canon 80D. I love the 50mm prime lens, it's so versatile and dim light friendly.

Nice one. The nifty-fifty had great glass. Shame about the rest of it. :D Still, it definitely had its uses and when you could get it to focus properly and perform the results were great.

Thanks, Levina. At first I assumed that they were Snowdrops too, but they don't have the green marks on the leaves. Spring Snowflakes are a similar but different plant.
Oh, I see. But whatever their name, they are really lovely.

I had one with a terrible AF. I had to take a shot three times to get one in focus, if at all. I thought all nifty's were like that. But then I started participating in the Where's Nifty thread on POTN and I received a nifty to shoot with and the AF was spot on each time. It was great. That really surprised me. So I guess it very much depended on the copy you had.

My own nifty died though. Dropped it on a hard floor years ago and it literally broke in pieces.

I was thinking that I'd never seen such a radiant red flower and then realised you used a filter. Some painterly effect? Looks pretty good. And well done too as it's not immediately obvious. At least not to me.
Thank you. Yes, I used the Oil Paint filter in Photoshop CS6 to obtain the effect.
