End your day with your best sunset shot. Here's mine for today, taken in St. Pete.

Cool! Almost like a blanket of soft, fuzzy, cotton balls covering the sky.It made me think of a sunset from a decade ago. It was something I'd never seen before. It was a sunset that everybody talked about the next morning. Apparently it was caused by a thick cover of clouds and the the light of the setting sun getting underneath it, colouring those clouds. It was sensational. Taken from my bedroom.

Great image. The birds are a bonus that add something to the pic.Your keen senses probably tell you I spend a lot of time at North Beach.

Thank you, John. Yes, somewhat of a foreground subject always helps. I've seen a lot of landscape pics where people responded with, "What are we looking at here? What is the subject?" So, if I can get something in the fg I'm pleased.Great image. The birds are a bonus that add something to the pic.

Thanks, Kirk. We have great sunsets here. The canal here runs east-west and standing on the bridge it's the perfect spot to shoot the sinking sun. And the bonus is the windmill, although it's a distance away. Now that's some wild looking sky!
That's a nice shot, Levina, it makes for a nice silhouette. I really like windmills; there's something comforting about them and I don't see them around here in these parts. I was wondering if you have any shots of it earlier in the day so I can get a good look at it and its surroundings. I like everything old school so I'm itching to see it.Thanks, Kirk. Here's another shot, from a bridge further west, with the mill a bit more prominent.

Oh yes. I have a few shots of it but not taken during sunset. We need a Windmill thread I think. They are used all over the world and come in all kinds of interest shapes. That's a nice shot, Levina, it makes for a nice silhouette. Cool, I'd like to see them. A thread for them would be a good idea, I think they're unique because they're not all the same, like how lighthouses are. There's another thread.Oh yes. I first have to find the windmill shots. They're on an external drive. No worries, that thread is coming! And? Where's the windmill thread?![]()
