It's all in the lens. At 8mm the image is completely circular on the sensor.

Apparently it's not all that rare, but I guess it's only viable for a plant where there is a decent level of aerial humidity. NZ does get a fair amount of rain..

This is by far my favourite tree shot. It stood there gloriously in the late afternoon sun. I didn't have wiggle room and this was the best I could do. But that was one beautiful tree.
