This was definitely a photo of the day for me. I'm not very good at shooting flowers, but I was pleased with this one, even though it would have been better with focus full on the flower.

Some of the hills guarding the entrance to St. John's harbour. Lots of old fortification remains, some from the 1600s for English-French wars; some from WW2.

Tech note: As you can see in the EXIF info below, this was taken with an EF-S lens on a full-frame camera, just for fun. With this particular lens you can easily pop out the centre of the mount and it'll attach. Just crop out the vignette in post.
