  1. No
I had in mind to make this a competition and post the winners on our social media, but we don't have enough members yet to make that work. Hopefully in future.

However, there is nothing stopping us from posting our photos of the day without it being a competition. So let's do that then and see how it goes.

The rules are:
  1. Post just one photo a day
  2. The image may be your photo of the day from today, but can also be your photo of the day from any time before (I don't want to exclude people who, for various reasons, aren't active shooters at the moment)
  3. The subject can be anything as long as it is safe for family and work
That's it. I think. :D

So let's see your Photo of the Day!

A happy memory of European rail journeys, a very civilised way to travel

a museum of the past
I like how you worded this: a museum of the past. Your bus is definitely a design of the past and really nice. Modern buses - trains too - are very streamlined, less wind resistance I guess, but they did lose something along the way.

Yes, but I guess they were real bone-shakers

I was thinking the exact same thing! Yes, the bus looks great, but I wouldn't want to sit in it for say, an hour or so. Well, not while it was moving that is... :D

This is today's photo of the day. Taken a long time ago. I was riding my bike, on my way to shoot Great crested grebes when along the canal I see a heron catching a big fish. I jump off my bike, grab my gear and started shooting. And shots were great. It's still a favourite of mine. This was still early on in the hobby and it was not just the photo of the day but of the year for me! (Even though the head turn was not ideal of course... )

Yes, it came! Isn't it wonderful, Martin?
I only shot some birds flying by my home, but first impressions are very good. I'm happy I decided to finally do it.
I have just downloaded the files to my Mac. Maybe I have a mallard or a wood pigeon to share later in this thread! :D

How long is a day?
24 hours.

No, we are in different time zones. My day starts when your day ends. In other words, for this thread a day is the day of the time zone we happen to be in.

From my morning till my night is a day for me.
