Photo of the Day!

No - it still fits and works just fine on a crop. The "adaptation" simply removes the bit that protrudes too far for the 5D mirror. This lens is easy because you can pop out the bit. Others have to be cut away to fit (not for me!).
Ah I see. Now you can use the lens on either camera. Pretty cool.

I wonder if EF-S lenses would work with an EF - RF adapter on a mirrorless, without modification?

I would test that for you but I don't have any Canon EF-S lenses. But I am betting Jeff @Jeff WX1USN has them and would be willing to test it for you.

I put the EF/RF adapter and then put both the EFS 18-135 and 10-18 (not at the same time LOL) and they work fine, the only thing to watch is that the little white square on the EFS lens that says this is where you connect the lenses is off my about 1/4 inch or so (clockwise) just don't force it until you feel it line up.
But since the adapter is about a 1 or 1 1/4 inches tall there is plenty of room for the EFS lenses.
Same way the EF 1.4 or 2x extenders work with it for the EF EFs lenses

We have an expression in Dutch that says: you ask and we deliver. I think you just gave new meaning to the phrase! Lightning fast delivery. Thanks very much, Jeff!

No problem I was eating breakfast at my desk in my den and all my camera gear is right behind me, My son says I should keep the 3 camera bags closed as there is dust but I like to see them and look at them whenever I am in the room LOL, same with my older cameras, all the ones on the 2nd shelf work especially the Hasselblad.

It is a beautiful sight indeed!

The cap in the upper right corner was your dad's?

Nice! Some of those EFS lenses have some very good IS that would cost $$$ more in an L IS version. Like the EFS 55-250. Thanks!

I have the 10-18 18-150 and 55-250 efs, they are good lenses, I use them on my 7Dii and have used them on my R7 and R6ii

Some of the hills guarding the entrance to St. John's harbour. Lots of old fortification remains, some from the 1600s for English-French wars; some from WW2.

Tech note: As you can see in the EXIF info below, this was taken with an EF-S lens on a full-frame camera, just for fun. With this particular lens you can easily pop out the centre of the mount and it'll attach. Just crop out the vignette in post. :)
