As no doubt you all know, there was a partial eclpse of the sun yesterday. I read up on safe ways to watch it - and one was this - Colander Vision ! Good fun :-D

Pretty cool, actually. I watched it too with one of those paper sunglasses thingies specifically made for looking at the sun and an eclipse. It’s decades old but still works. I tried taking pics with my iPhone which failed miserably of course.

Isn’t it though? I took this just winging it, with stretched arms, angling the phone and hoping the sun would be in the frame, and the camera would focus. And through double glazed glass. It’s a miracle but all shots are good, but with the sun totally blown, except for this one and one other.
