It was a glorious day today: sunshine, clear sky and 18ºC so I went to Waterland to shoot birds. It was wonderful, on my bicycle, no coat needed, just in t-shirt with long sleeves. I shot a long sequence of a couple of Black-tailed godwits mating, but I will look at those tomorrow. So I picked this as photo of the day.

Not sure if this works at all but I increased contrast beyond what I would usually do to get a totally black background.

EDIT: I looked it up, it’s a Cuckoo flower aka Milkmaid, Lady’s smock or Mayflower (Cardamine pratensis)
