An older pic of two ospreys that appeared to be squabbling over whether to stop for a rest or not. they settled down and rested on a statue for about 5 minutes right after this shot and then took off.
this was taken with my Canon R7 and my old Tamron 150-600. I'm using a Canon RF 100-500 now. (a great lens, btw)

Yes, it was awful. Away from the Farnes, amongst other things, it virtually wiped out a colony of Roseate Terns and killed two-thirds of all the nesting Great Skuas in the country.

That is heartbreaking.

Thanks, Kirk. Conditions were ideal, sun just over the horizon behind me, beautiful light. And the R62 did its good work. These birdies are fast!
