Well, I believe it is the best time of the year to see this species in the Netherlands, although shorebirds ain't my expertise ;-)
They are here all year but right now I do see enough shorebirds(oystercatcher and dunlin)Well, I believe it is the best time of the year to see this species in the Netherlands, although shorebirds ain't my expertise ;-)

Just point and let AF do it's thing, after that delete 99.9%Good grief. What a sight.
As to focus, I don't know about you guys but I find flocks hard. Which bird do you focus on, if you have a choice at all that is. I usually just point the camera and pray.
Yeah, I know how to do that!Just point and let AF do it's thing, after that delete 99.9%
It's always hard to judge, isn't it. In the first pic the birds seem to be quite a distance away while in the second shot they seem much closer. And the birds in the second shot seem to also be in the same focal zone. A lot have their wings in focus, more so than in the first shot. But, yeah, hard to judge. Here's where the focus is (in green) according to C1pro(screenshots), I find it hard to judge myself:
Sweet shot, Jack.Blue Tit
