A September sunset in Amsterdam

Now that's some wild looking sky!
Thanks, Kirk. We have great sunsets here. The canal here runs east-west and standing on the bridge it's the perfect spot to shoot the sinking sun. And the bonus is the windmill, although it's a distance away.

Here's another shot, from a bridge further west, with the mill a bit more prominent.

That's a nice shot, Levina, it makes for a nice silhouette. I really like windmills; there's something comforting about them and I don't see them around here in these parts. I was wondering if you have any shots of it earlier in the day so I can get a good look at it and its surroundings. I like everything old school so I'm itching to see it. :)

Oh yes. I have a few shots of it but not taken during sunset. We need a Windmill thread I think. They are used all over the world and come in all kinds of interest shapes.

Cool, I'd like to see them. A thread for them would be a good idea, I think they're unique because they're not all the same, like how lighthouses are. There's another thread. :D
