Cool Clouds. Let's see them!

Ha ha, I put tape on the contacts, so aperture is wide open and uncontrollable and AF is not working. I have no focus confirmation on the 6D either and use the Av mode.
Things are better with R series, with focus peaking.

Probably gonna have some storms again tonight. These are the leading edge clouds of a distant thunderstorm, approaching from the southwest. This storm will miss us, gonna stay in Texas. It's the one coming in about 5:00 AM I'm worried about. Got an 80 foot high Hackberry tree just outside our property that it beginning to lean. You can see the roots pushing the ground up on the south side. It won't take much more to push it down. Hopefully the electric company can come trim it down before it falls, since if it falls it will take down power lines.

Looking southwest.

Not a good sign. Scary. Fingers crossed it won’t fall or gets trimmed in time.

There was a huge, old tree in the park nearby that was also leaning over and towards the path. With strong winds the thing actually moaned! It was removed. A tree like that can kill a person. Be careful!

We had a partial solar eclipse a while ago and jut for fun I pointed my iPhone towards it and took some shots. Shooting blind as I couldn’t see anything. Surprisingly I captured it but I also have a few shots where the partially eclipsed sun is present in a different spot. No doubt caused by the triple glass I was shooting through.

The sun up left is blown, but the eclipse - just below the centre, in blue - is visible.

Nice. But weird. I wonder how that could've happened.

I don't know. It must have had something to do with the double or triple glass windows. But how exactly that would work, no idea.
