Post Your Best Church Photos

Is the dangling statue in memory of one who actually did get caught up there?
So a paratrooper really did land on the church like that? I remember it was in the film about D-day but I thought it was just put in for extra drama!
Yes, the paratrooper got caught on his descent. It was depicted in the film "The Longest Day," and he lived to tell about his experience.

Being on a cliff top it's just as well. It's an odd looking church. However much I tinker, I can't get the outside photo to look horizontal. It would drive someone with OCD up the wall.
You're right, it does look odd! If you would make the horizontals horizontal, the doors and windows would lean. And no matter what you do, the tower is not aligned with the rest, so yeah, however you twist or turn it, you can't get it right.

I did actually make the top of the nave and chancel horizontal, but you'd never think so because of the sloping wall. The tower definitely leans.
