Maybe it was a very religious village?Holy Trinity, Tattershall, Lincs. Almost the size of a small cathedral, it's amazing to find such a large church in a relatively tiny village. It was built in the fifteenth century by Ralph Cromwell, the third Baron Cromwell, who also built a castle nearby.

Baron Cromwell kept a household which would have been considerable, but it had much more to do with showing who was boss. For the same reason his room in the castle was near the top of the keep, so that visitors had to climb and climb in order to get to him.Maybe it was a very religious village?![]()
