I like this one much better. Jackdaw.

Big coot fight a while ago. An intruder and the resident coots attacked her/him viciously. I'm not even sure the poor bird survived. They were trying to drown him I think. I filmed it. If I have a half hour time I will edit it and post it here. Coot fights are really nasty.

I was in Waterland end July and light was awful. Came home with mostly rubbish. Just bad light that did weird things with the colours and I couldn't get them right in post.

There were large groups of barnacle geese. I processed a shot. Not good, but not too bad either. The colours in the field were lovely but even they look muddy...

Not bad considering but they've lost their black.
Sometimes the light is just bad like I had yesterday with the common goldeneye. These Goldfinches were from the same trip, grey and foggy.

And just to give an impression of the light: fishing Yersekenaren(no crop so quit close)

(if it's not allowed(no bird:eek:) I'll remove it)

Coots are like football fans, always fighting:run:

I know, right. But it was either that or keep the blacks and have crazy contrasty images. I chose the lesser of two evils, so to speak.

That doesn't look half bad, Patrick. Especially the first is pretty decent. And of course it's a very pretty bird, you have two of them and in a very nice setting. But yeah, sometimes the light is just too bad.
