He seems to have a wound on his face and it looks kinda fresh. I wonder if that is why he's squinting. Did you see more of it?

Pretty pics of the little fox but yes, it definitely looks like a wound. I hope he's okay.

I had thought it was a touch of mange, but, looking at it more closely, it does look more like a wound. She was very tame. This was on a Dorset heath and she was probably used to being fed by tourists.

Animals can survive the most terrible injuries and disabilities. As long as it doesn't get infected, she will probably be okay. I wonder if she was attacked by a dog.

Could be. There's not much else in the south of England that would be a contender. Badger possibly, or another fox.

It's a wound which will heal(fighting with dog or other fox/wild animal, caught on fence/wire chicken hut?), it's to localised, to deep and it's fur is to good for mange.

grey peanut thieves, least that's what I think they are, they could be squirrels?
