Yup it is fine for social media, except to the pixel peepers, but not for camera club comps, and it would probably be fine for my yearly calendar that I give to family and friends each year. But the 2.0 needs a lot of light and in testing I find I do as well if not better with my 1.4x.
Where it might work is with the 70-200 f/2.8 but then I have the 100-400 and 100-500 already.
