After the storm passed through. Been without electricity for about four hours now, and a few more limbs in the yard to pick up, but doing fine. I should put this pic in the Colors game since it has all seven!

Looking out my window and wanting to take pictures in the garden but overcast for the 6th straight day (next 10 to be the same)

Tried a shot anyway of a hummingbird, 1/400 f/7.1 ISO 25600 even tough with the R6ii impossible with the R5ii

One advantage of overcast days is you can shoot all day long, even at noon! (Trying to find the bright side - pun not intended).

Yeah, that’s where the f/7.1 becomes a problem. Right now a 400/2.8 would be helpful so you could take down the ISO with almost 3 stops.

I am using my 70-200 f/2.8 but the FL is way too short even 15 feet away the birds are awfully small

Just wish I could afford a f/2.8 400 or 500, don't think the 300 would gain my much over the 200. The R7 might be ok but the rolling shutter with the pre-capture is an issue, will try it anyway

Yeah, and even with a 400 or 500 f/2.8 you will run into limits.

NorEaster wasn't bad as predicted, only 1.5 inches of rain and wind only of 16 mph. but it has been two weeks since I saw the sun and they are saying another week or so of clouds...

Well, that was on paper. It was cloudy and not sunny yet when I posted that. But, it is now clearing up, less clouds, more sun.

Here it's been very warm and dry, but largely cloudy. Same forecast for tomorrow, but cooler.
