Let us see pictures you have taken of photographers at work. I love seeing pictures of Ansel Adams at work let us see your images of other photographers. NOTE: no self portraits or selfies or images of you taken by others.

Post until Monday noon GMT, 17 February 2025.

Remember, if you post a photo, you may be the winner. Be prepared to host a new challenge.

NOTE: This week's challenge winner will be decided by voting - See below.

Rules:

  • Camera: Any CAMERA is allowed (images from scanned film are also allowed);
  • Post only ONE photo;
  • Time: Any on-topic photo taken at any time is eligible, although photos that have won other competitions should NOT be entered (meaning won competitions here, so no problem as of yet!);
  • Size: Maximum image size is 1600px on the long end. Minimum size is 800px;
  • Post Processing: Do whatever you like, and the host will decide if it works;
  • Title your image;
  • Posting: ONE PHOTO per photographer per challenge. List camera model & lens used. Post brief EXIF data: ISO, shutter speed and aperture (when images are attached the EXIF will be added below the images automatically);
  • Commenting: No commenting and Likes during challenge. After the challenge is closed discussion is encouraged;
  • Keep it clean, and both family and work safe;
  • Have lots of FUN;
  • This text is available in a sticky. Copy the text and paste it in the new thread.
Voting:
  • Once the challenge is closed by the host on Monday noon, anyone may cast their votes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.
  • People who didn't enter a photograph may vote, too: 1st Place = 3 points, 2nd Place = 2 points, and 3rd Place = 1 point.
  • No commenting and no likes until the challenge has ended and the winner has been declared.
  • After the challenge has ended, everyone is invited to comment / provide feedback about your vote choices!
Hosting:
  • The next challenge host is the winner of the previous challenge.
  • Once your win is announced, go to Games, Competitions and Challenges and choose "Post thread"
  • In the top (title) line, enter Weekend Task #X - Your Topic
  • Copy the sticky below, in the message area, and click "Post thread", at the bottom of the page.
  • Soon after noon GMT on the next Tuesday, declare the contest closed and post the sum of the votes for first, second, and third place. No ties, please.
  • If the winner can't be contacted and doesn't respond by Wednesday noon GMT, the second-place winner will host the challenge. If both are unavailable, the third-place winner will host.
Note: The host of the challenge may also enter a photo and is encouraged to do so. Should the host win, the runner up will host the next challenge, so as to avoid the same person hosting in two consecutive weeks.

im surprised no one has posted a photo of a photographer at a wedding making photographs but here's a different take.

the vested gentleman with the glasses is the primary at a wedding he hired me on to do 2nd shooter. he also coaches competitive cheer and gymnastics so is almost ALWAYS fixing up costumes and such that get snagged or torn or whatever at competitions.

here he is helping to mend something on the bride's gown.

24-70 f2.8 L II is the lens. no idea what the ISO might be without digging into the image

i edited this post to add the lens info and it deleted the 5D3 f2.8/ 1/40 info from the page...

Photographers at Chanonry Point - location here. There are about 33 photographers at the water's edge. My conservative estimate is that each of them had kit costing at least £1500 ($1890). So, in total, there's around s around £70000 ($8800) of kit there!
