I'm wondering about that bridge. It looks like metal and built to support more than just pedestrians. At the same time it would be odd to have something like a train passing through there. Actually that whole structure seems out of place.
It's actually a pedestrian bridge, over the Pegnitz River, in the old walled city of Nuremberg, Germany. It's called the Henkersteg or Hangman's bridge. The city executioner lived in a tower near the bridge and used it to walk to work every day. It is a wooden bridge that was originally built in 1457, but was destroyed by a flood. It was rebuilt in 1595 and survived until WWII when it was damaged. It was rebuilt in 1954 to what it is today.
