My 3rd daughter and her pony at Preliminary level c 1981. I was taking an adult education class in photography and developing and printing my pictures.
 
I shouldn't talk in the game, but Dave, this is such a GREAT shot. I love it.
i live about a 10 minute drive to an international waterway between the US and Canada. this is an Algoma Central (Railways. Canada) tanker that runs fuel (oil, gas, propane, what have you). Algoma has quite a few ships both tankers and bulk freighters

Sure. The ship is impressive. But I meant the image itself. How you took the shot, at f/2.8, with such shallow depth of field so there is an out of focus foreground, a fading background and the ship taking centre stage, is just marvellous. It is truly a great image.
