• Welcome to Focus on Photography

Hello. I created this forum so photographers would have a friendly place to share their love of photography and their images.
I set up categories and forums, started some threads and posted some images, resources and interesting articles.
You are most welcome to join me by registering but you can also post as a guest.
Either way, I hope to see you on the board!

These are nice! Did you photograph negatives? Or is it a filter of some kind?

yes the first couple of square are 120 film from a YashicaMat124, TMax 100 if i recall. they were processed and scanned commercially.

the 4x5 are from a 1955 Graflex Crown Graphic with TMax 100 that i processed and scanned (photographed on a light table). id never processed sheet film before and it has a lot of defects on it.

the 35mm are from a 1959 (? id have to look at the records) Canon 7 with 50mm f1.4. 2nd roll of 35mm i processed myself in 40 some years.

I thought they might be. They have a nice look, different from photos from digital cameras. Less smooth maybe, grittier?

If you call that a small town, what would you call where I live? Population 210 according to the 2020 census. We do have a gas station/bait store/cafe and a Dollar General store!

...and here I thought I lived in a little podunk town, but we have a population of 10k.

Just wondering: should this thread really be in the People forum, or would it sit better in the Urban?
That's a good question, Jack. I don't know. Where does it usually sit?
But say the word and I'll move it to Urban.
