powershot Gx 7 III

so sad this is being replaced with (in my opinion) a lesser camera.

i like the zoom range on the Gx 7 very much but i guess everyone wants cameras for video now so the V100 or V1 is the new one to get

ive seen the GX 7 listed USED for twice the original asking price. that ought to tell you what people think of them.


i wanted to get one for my wife, who had troubles holding her T2i with 17-55 f2.8 so since i couldnt find one new (for again, less than double the OEM pricing) we went with an R10 and the kit lenses. theyre not as fast but hopefully theyll be sharp enough for her style of snapshot photography.

if ANYONE KNOWS of a clean G X 7 III thats on the used market, for a reasonable price, let me know! id still be interested in one

I never had one of these, but I do understand the frustration when something you love is being replaced by something less good. I wish camera manufacturers would keep video features in a stills camera basic, but the genie is out of the bottle it seems.
