Canon RF 200-800mm

I figured it out, in the AF menu the custom functions had "Electronic full time MF" to ON, in Manual it was OFF and Electronic MF focus was set to OFF in the custom modes it was ON
Turned them both on and now the control ring focuses in Manual.

It's so easy to overlook something like that. Great that you figured it out.

I've heard the R5ii is even more complicated for setups.
I don't know, I found it pretty straightforward. I had the hardest time going from the 1D4 to the R6. Everything was just so different. But going from the R6 to the R6m2 and then the R5m2 was not that hard. But I'm a simpleton, I use basic stuff and ignore the rest. :giggle:

@Jan1977 Jan shoots with a 200-800mm lens. However, not on the R7 but he knows the lens and might have some idea.

I also found this lens guide. I'm including it here as a pdf. Might be helpful.
I wouldn't have known the answer as I do not use the control ring. I have by the way shot the RF200-800 in the R7 in the past. Luckily you figured it out before I read into this thread (y)
