Birds In Flight - Post Yours!

Re: Young at heart
I once took a test which was supposed to be an indicator of whether I would do well in grad school. I was taking a class at the time in testing (how to write tests - how to evaluate tests) and my score was above the range given for who would do well. The professor looked at me (I was about 38 at the time) and said "That score isn't predictive. It just means that you have been around" ::)
That's funny.:D

First short eared owl of the winter for me :yay:

I love seeing the bird in his habitat in the first shot and I love seeing it up close in the second. Two very good captures.

Thanks Reina, it's easy to overlook the wider views just because they do come so close as to be able to get the close ups! :lolz:

There we go again: owls. First one of the season? May many follow, Sid! Two great shots.

Thanks Levina :)
This time of year they are without a doubt my favourite thing to shoot but they just haven't been here this winter. This one was a chance find in an unknown, for owls, location by a birder looking for crossbills. I saw his blog post and went looking and found it, unfortunately no sign of the bird today. Might be one or two more to post from what I have got though ;haha;
Pretty terrific shots. Beautiful bird!

Thanks very much John :)
