Birds In Flight - Post Yours!

Westland Petrel, Kaikoura, NZ. A difficult species to capture effectively; I'm not sure how I should have tackled this.

I think you did pretty well as it is, Jason. You could try to bring out the eye a bit in post.
Thanks, Levina. I did try dodging, but the result was either so subtle that it didn't make any difference, or so obvious that it clearly looked fake. I guess I just don't have the PP skills.

I don't know, I think when a bird is dark all over with smooth feathers it can be hard to brighten them up. It's the same with the magpie I posted. They have smooth plumage and it's hard to brighten up the black parts. It starts to look hazy very quickly. These birds really need good light. But I still think your bird looks good. Better than my magpie.
