Thank you Levina, yes 30! imagine a flock of 30 herring gulls over a farmers field but they're red kites instead. Much the same place in the ecosystem, the kites are much more interested in mobbing another bird that has something than making the effort to pick up something for themselves. So when a buzzard, or a magpie or crow, lands to grab a morsel all of a sudden 5 or more kites are diving at it and another couple will just swoop through and then occasionally one of the swoopers will pick up. Unfortunately they seem to be gone this week and we're back down to the usual 4 or 5 not showing much interest.

Oh my... this is beautiful, Sid. He looks so gorgeous. And the pose is wonderful with that perfect wing spread. A great image.
