Weekend Task #6 =/= Film Noir

Thanks for the explanantion. Your title (good that people title their photos ;) ) made me wonder what I was looking because I knew it had to be a shillouette. I just wondered about the see through, but a mirror is indeed a simple explanation once you know it (y)
I had a hard time explaining it (A reflection of a reflection) so I am happy that my explanation made sense

Thank you for pointing it out, I totally read over it and assuming I more or less knew the rules, I do not read the rules in the new threads... I will try to remember it from now on.
There were two with no titles - but since I am new here I'm trying to abide by the written rules at least. and figuring out the unwritten ones.

That is appreciated, Rosalie, but don't be afraid to speak up when you see something that you think is inconsistent. A fresh pair of eyes can sometimes see things that old-timers often don't. We may not always agree with you, but we are a friendly bunch and appreciate any input.

My own image was on the edge. I had a very different image in mind but simply couldn't find the time to shoot it, so I used an image from the past and added a title that gave it meaning (with a reference to a classic Hitchcock film - maybe Rosalie knows which one I mean? Although that film is not a film noir).
I had to look up that film as I didn't remember it, but the title was enough for me

i think if Jeff had indicated that his flowers were a casket decoration, that would have fit the Task/Challenge very nicely. (Even if they weren't Lilies)
I agree that a good title can give specific meaning to an image, which is particularly important in competitions such as these. Or they can be.

The Lady Vanishes. With Margareth Lockwood and Michael Redgrave and Dame May Whitty as the vanished old lady. I used to watch a lot of classics when I was young. So when I chose my image I thought it was a perfect title for it, just changed it to the past tense.

I had another image that might have fitted better maybe. From a good number of years ago for a POTN challenge. I decided to go with the subtler image. Terribly hard to capture this, by the way, as it was all done in camera in one long exposure. And it's a selfie too!
