Weekend Task #3 - Portraits of Photographers at work - no selfies only of others - VOTING WEEK

If the poll system would work, it would help with the calculations in the case of many entries (as with WET). I've been using an Excel spreadsheet I made, since the POTN days, with a kind of "checksum" - happy to post if anyone wants it. :geek:
LOL You looking at me, Rob? :LOL:
I don't have Excel. But I believe there is something called Numbers on my Mac and it does spreadsheets. Problem is I have no idea how spreadsheets work. None. :oops;

I interpreted a photo like Jeff's as a photographer at work who paused for a moment to have his picture taken. He had his camera there, arm on it. So the moment the photo was taken was an interruption. But he was at work.

Having said that, you have a point!
I picked Jeff's photo first - I said I thought it was the best one. But whether he was paused in work or posed, he wasn't taking a picture at the moment the photo was taken.

I agree with you that he wasn't taking a picture at the time but having been a Navy Photographer for many years most of our time was spent setting up or waiting (the military is big on hurry up and wait) or talking to people about a shoot, on every job very little was actual shooting. Now doing bird photography it is 95% waiting for birds and at disney it was 95% walking around. as a computer programmer since leaving the military most of my job was thinking and to me a photo of a person with a camera not actually taking a shot but thinking about it or waiting for it is still working. Do photographers get paid by the hour or by the shot? I think both ways are correct. But we all have our opinions.
