By pointing both feet inwards a bit, like a reversed V. Or more drastically making a T with your feet. Or simply "carving" a tiny track in the ice with the edge of a skate, that too will keep you from rolling.

I lived in Ann Arbor, MI as a kid. Did a lot of ice skating. There was a low place in the neighborhood, they would spray it with water to make a rink. Spent many hours there, also on local creeks, ponds and once on Lake Huron. Dad was ice fishing there, brother and I skated while he was fishing.
