Downtown Port Huron.

the lights across the street are recreation of what they had way back at the turn of the LAST century. the night before boat night (mention in the boats and ships thread) is family night and they close the main drag through town and have vendors and food tents and what not for family.

down on the river between the US and Canada. the Blue Water Bridge is in the background.

the lit up thing, was some artwork someone got a grant to create and the city was gifted money to pay for installation. it didnt have lights in it. i had just gotten my Canon 600ex-rt speedlites and trigger so i thought i would play around with it. stuck the light inside, played with the trigger to adjust the power over a dozen shots or so and liked this one the best.

a friend of mine liked it and she and another gal used it for the front page of a calendar they put together as a fund-raiser to help pay for an art show/music festival a 1/2 mile south of here every year called Art on the River. i also had the last image of the calendar too.

no i didnt get any money from it. considered it part of my civic duty to help promote the event and bring people in to town
