Native Wildflowers

Well, I know this one is native to the south central US. Beardstongue from last summer.

Snowdrops (Dec-Mar) UK. perennial plant
I had seen the shoots coming through last week, yesterday was the first day of seeing the flower heads.
(Lens: Tamron SP 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di VC USD <> Camera ID: Canon EOS 7D Mark II).

I love snowdrops. They're so pretty. Although I seem to see them less than when I was a child, almost a lifetime ago.

Hi Blakbird,
I'm lucky to be close to woodlands where I live, so it encourages me to grab my camera gear and go walking. Nature is stirring now, I also saw some 'Scarlet Elf Cup (fungi.)' scattered about the woodland floor, more signs of spring. :)

Hi Levina, I know we're only just coming into February, but it feels good to see nature already at work. :)
Yes, it does feel good, Mac. Days are getting noticeably longer too now. I always dread November and December. No winter any more, just grey, dark and wet. And depressing. So I'm happy we're almost in February now.
