Herons Cormorants Cranes - Post Yours

Whoa, you've been busy. I Liked them all because I like them all. But this is my favourite. There are better shots in what you posted above and some are really good, but I love shots like this with a pretty habitat, pretty light breaking through the fog. That little island in the sun there, which I think might be where he nests? It's so lovely. And the bird approaching. I love this image.

Not the best of shots but I don't usually see these two species together like this and it fits the title of the thread perfectly.

Cormorant and a grey heron coming in. Taken with the old 1Dm3. That seems like an eternity ago, yet it isn't.

hard to do wide open, could be fixed with spot Topaz AI Sharpen probably
I could try to process it again. I remember I was tracking the heron and he happened to land where he did, next to the cormorant. That was unexpected. And I didn't have much light. ISO 1600 with the 1D3 wasn't really ideal in the light I had. My shutter speed was too slow as well. Yeah, I might dig up the RAW file and run it through DXO Pure Raw. I have Topaz Denoise but not Topaz AI Sharpen.

I like AI Sharpen, it has 4 different modes each with 3 modes so you can really refine an image

Can you set Topaz AI Sharpen to sharpen just a tiny bit? Because in Topaz Denoise when I turn off all sharpening, it doesn't respect that, it still sharpens. That's the reason I didn't use it much and eventually bought DXO Pure Raw, which I think is very good.
