Nice one, Jason!
Not nearly sharpo enough, unfortunately. This was one of a regular pair that have frequented the woods above our house for years. We often see them overhead, but they are never low enough for good shots.

Is buzzard a general term for raptors in Europe?
Not really, no. US people use the word synonymously with vultures, I believe, but it's different here. In Britain Buzzard is the proper family name for the Buteo hawks, to which birds like your Red-tailed Hawk and Swainson's Hawk belong. The Common Buzzard (or simply Buzzard) Buteo buteo, is the only regular British member of the family, but in Europe and Scandinavia there are also the Rough-legged Buzzard Buteo lagopus and Long-legged Buzzard Buteo rufinus.
