Bird Portraits - Post Yours!

In the UK, the little grebe (Tachybaptus ruficollis) used to be known as the dabchick. The NZ bird is a different species and seems endangered. Jack can say more. Lovely shot, though. North Island, l guess?
And yet, all the different grebes look like grebes, don't they?

Thanks, Levina. I thought the toe thing might garner a little attention, ha! I wish I could get out early, that was taken at 5:34 pm, about an hour before sunset and it's just my editing that makes it appear like morning.

Lest we forget how well our former DSLR's did, here are two shots taken with my Canon 1D mark IIn from over a decade ago.
Of course my new R5m2 would have more definition in the feathers, but I think these are still very nice.
