Rifleman (or in this case more of a riflewoman; I wonder what the plural is. Riflemans, I suppose). This is a New Zealand endemic and very hard to photograph. They are smaller than Goldcrests, hyperactive, and live in forests where the light levels are low . I got lucky(ish) with this one. I never did get a really good one of a male.

Smaller even than the Goldcrest, the tiniest European bird? That is tiny indeed. Congratulations on getting this shot, Jason. And it's a good shot also.

As to the plural, I guess "riflemen" would be out of the question... :giggle:
