Bird Portraits - Post Yours!

Being on the third floor (not counting ground floor), with the canal below and lots of bird stuff going on there, I feel your pain, Kirk. But shooting birds in flight from home is great though as I get to shoot them at angles you normally can't. Still...
Oh, I agree 100%. I often wish I had a cherry picker that could raise me up 30-40 feet so I can get level with birds in trees. I live in a 1 story house so I'm not quite as lucky as you when birds fly by. I only get the occasional turtle or alligator walking by. There's a pond in the back yard.

It happens occasionally. One got into my mom's swimming pool once, a small one about 5 ft. long. It's a common occurrence in Fl, they're everywhere. We see them as people elsewhere would see a feral cat and they are usually as scared of us as we are of them. We keep our distance, just the same. ;)
