Revisiting lion pics and came across this one from around 5 years ago, never posted. I decided to have some fun.
I have lots of shots like this but very very few at an angle where the lions eyes arnt even visible at all and the light is nice. Something eery about it

The most dangerous position for any giraffe (except if they are giving birth) Is when they bend down to drink. I choose this shot as I liked the the S shape water drip.

I realized I post very few giraffe pics so here is one to start off.
Taken at the end of the day these giraffe were cooling down, their skin patters almost merging into one with some strange perspective

Just by chance and totally unprepared I come across this leopard happily rolling in the grass 5 minutes from my camp. Almost missed the scene and just happened to look down by the vehicle.

Mara. It took some maneuvering but this big guy came straight up to me managed to get some video and wide shoots in the landscape too. The image crops quite well in a vertical format as well.
We had a regular Hedgehog in our garden last year. They are nocturnal, but once it emerged before the light had quite gone and I managed to take this snap. I had to use a high ISO and a wide aperture, so there's no depth of field. Topaz Denoise helped a lot.
These pics were taken last summer at an ancient sand dune in Ottawa called Pinhey Site 3. The place hosts many interesting bugs including some rarely found elsewhere.
