Wild Birds of Europe

Really? That is so nice! You just wonder how the other birds see leucistic birds. Surely they notice it and looks are important.
I don't know but I've noticed several during the years and they are less afraid to come in the garden, black Jackdaws are very skittish, just moving a lens a few mm scares them away.

Jackdaws and Magpies are very much alike in that respect. If you so much as turn your head to look at them they go into a state of high alert! It's ridiculous. Funny how leucistic jackdaws are more relaxed, maybe a side effect of their leucism?

PS: have to run, my 3-monthly check-up in the hospital. Be good, you all!

Yes indeed. Condition has been stable for a year, but it's always strenuous.

Results 7 March, when I see my doctor. They're online end of the day or tomorrow, but I never watch them. I reckon, if it's bad news I prefer to hear it from my doctor and not see it on a screen whilst alone.

I took my gear with me and on my way back home I shot some great crested grebes. I don't think shots are very good, harsh light. We'll see. First I need some coffee!

If you think these two wood pigeons are mating, you are mistaken. They were fighting and it lasted a long time!

What was hilarious was they got an audience in the shape of a magpie. He came flying in and watched the fight. I thought it was really funny.

Some mate like that:p
LOL No doubt!

I was watching a couple on the roof of the houseboat. Suddenly another flies in, moving towards them and one of the couple jumps at him and starts to chase him away. Wood pigeons fly up and then drop themselves on their opponent when they fight. I've seen them do it before. I have long sequences of the fight yesterday. I will put them together in a little clip.
