I actually meant to post the hide video in here, I obviously lost track of where I was :lolz:, anyway here are a few shots of the unknown juvenile buzzard that lands and out lasts the kites and is last to leave

Thank goodness for the magic window, nice shot! Your magpies are a little earlier than ours, I haven't seen any nesting going on yet with them only signs so far are from the sparrows around the house.
Well, he's flying between two trees with material but I don't think he chose a particular spot to build his nest yet. I see him hopping from branch to branch, poking, then moving to the next spot. The trees are a bit too far away from my window but with the R5m2 I do have more reach and with better light I can also use an extender.

Great set of images, Sid. In #3 he sure takes a stand, looking very determined! And I love the last shot. A wall hanger for sure!

A stork photographed on my way to work. Still quite dark and clouds blocking the sunrise. I'm not sure if it is allowed as it shows the nest, but in this case these stork nests are on man-made poles dedicated for stork nesting, just a few meters off the road). My post can be removed if it is a violation of the forum rules.

No, not at all a violation of any forum rule, Jan.

I think we always need to be careful not to disturb nesting birds. But these birds live among us, in our towns and city parks and are very comfortable around people. Photographing them like this will in no way harm them. I go to a nearby park most years to photograph nesting storks there. Although they are high up on old chimneys, but they sometimes come down to pick up some nest material, walk past people sitting on the grass and once the item is picked up they will fly back up to the nest.

These were taken in Park Frankeldael, a park not far from where I live. It's a beautiful park. It has two high chimneys. One is in use by a renowned restaurant, the other is where the white storks nest. But they come down when they have a good reason.

This was taken a very long time ago. I was sitting on the grass and he came down to pick up a branch, walked straight past me, didn't blink.

This was seven years ago. As soon as the man on the bicycle with his plastic bag arrived, he came down.

And he wasn't the only one:
