I like moody shots. I so know what those mornings feel like when I go out before the sun is up to shoot birds in the countryside. The coldness, the dampness and the waiting for the light to arrive. The last shot is getting there, in terms of light.

Site is very sluggish all of a sudden. Not on my iPad but on my Mac. No idea why, everything is all right on the site, nothing in the logs. Are you experiencing site lag too, Jan?

Light became better over the course of the morning. Post with better light will follow ;-) and a few more moody ones as well I guess. Here is a tufted duck enjoying the sun breaking through:

Don't go that easy on Sid... the owl should have a prey and then another owl (or buzzard or red kite...) should come in and fight for the prey
