Some more sedge warbler:

And a common chiffchaff:
Two great sets of images, Jan.

The chiffchaff especially is nice because I so rarely see one these days. I used to really work hard in the past to shoot them and I did, but I haven't in many years and then you only hear them but not see them. At least here they're always high up in the trees and with all the leaves not easy to spot.

This chiffchaff was hard to spot and was high up in a tree as well. Really had to shoot upwards.

And they are so tiny and then with all the foliage. Here are two of my favourite shots of one (from different years, so not the same bird).

A shame he wasn't facing you, the detail and colors are fantastic!
I hoped for it to turn, but it flew off into dense foliage. Hadn't photographed one for a while and the colors made the photo 'decent' enough to share it.

Yeah, I get those, "decent enough to share" shots often. It's nice to hear that someone else posts them for the same reasons as I. I've also found that some people have never seen the bird I posted, and they are usually quite thankful that I posted it, so there's always that possibility. ;)

Nice, but isn't that the common pochard(tafeleend)?
Yes, you are right. Looked at the head mostly and to me it looked like the red-crested and then did not look further into similar ducks. Although not as poor as in identifying gulls, I'm not great in identifying ducks ;)
