What an unusual looking fish. All those spike like thingies that look almost like feathers. Patches of colour too. Maybe those "spikes" aren't that at all but just another colour pattern? Do you know what species it is?

This is(was) a Long-spined bullhead(groene zeedonderpad) eaten by a Red-breasted Merganser(male).
