"the Crossroads" where legendary Blues Singer Robert Johnson allegedly sold his soul to the devil for fame and fortune as a Blues Singer.

I'm sure I saw this used in a movie or tv-series but for the life of me I can't remember which it was. Ugh, these kinds of things escape you just when you think you can grasp it. I think it was a movie though.

I have one of Robert Johnson's albums here. Vinyl. I loved to listen to it on hot summer nights.

On Bogue Sound NC, going south in the ICW (Intercoastal Waterway)....
We pass a very large pink (white trim) castle type house with a 2 story fake lighthouse on the water side, and a lot of palm trees - right in the middle of the salt marshes on its own little island. I didn't take a photo of it, but next time we came past, I did

Wow. It's really pink! I mean PINK pink. What an amazing colour for a house. And the "lighthouse" too! It made me laugh out loud. Great photo!

Ah okay. I doesn't look like Ivy so then probably some type of bougainvillea. I'm not familiar with bougainvillea. I know it grows in southern Europe but we don't have it here. Not that I know anyway.
