Just buildings of all sorts

Very nicely imaged. It shows that government used to be smaller.
Thanks. The building dates from c.1699. There's a curious history to this place. In the middle ages, Newtown had a population of nearly 700 and its harbour could accommodate any ship that floated. It was once the capital of the Isle of Wight and returned two members of parliament to Westminster. However, in common with other harbours along the British south coast, the channels began to silt up from the 1600s onwards and nowadays the village is reduced to little more than a dozen houses and a couple of farms. So we now have the curious spectacle of a town hall without a town.
