just realized theres no hockey thread.

i shoot for a semi-pro team (Single A or the lowest possible level) the last 8yr. theyve been around for 10 but they 'volunteers' they had the first and second years never really panned out. amazing how the lack of payment usually equates to a lack of commitment...

Nice shots, can imagine that shooting (ice) hockey can be quite challenging due to the action going all around the rink, the helmets, players looking down where the boarding and glass don't let you take low angles to shoot. Field hockey might be a bit easier in that respect.

ive shot some lower angle stuff but its really hard to get separation between players. most of my stuff is from in the seats (about 20-30 feet) above ice level.

i do go behind the visitor's goal for a period so i can try and get our team on the rush or making a shot... (see second photo).

the fight, was at the other end of the ice (185' because our rink is pre-1968 size) with a 70-200 and a BOATLOAD of crop (shhh! dont tell anyone)

so of course the local county allied veterans' council posted the colors, and then they had silent auction for stuff. being a one-man band i try to cover EVERYTHING including the action on the ice
