Have I over-egged the pudding?

Another rescue job, but have I gone too far?

1. Here is the original. It is the ancient (15th cent.)wooden Church in Honflur, Normandy

2. Because it is a small image, I enlarged it 2x. This makes things easier when editing

3. Because the top of the spire is missing, I used X-design AI online to extend the canvas

4. Next, a combination of sky replacement +a filter in Luminar - and finally a tidy up in Photoshop. In this last step I increased the foreground saturation; dis I push it too far?

A little bit, yes, I think so. It's too saturated. I would try to stay as close to the original tones as you can, but just brightening it up a little bit, adding some light. But I never mess with colours myself because less seems always better and it's very easy to go too far.

Extending the canvas for the spire looks good to me. The sky replacement introduced some artifacts but you cleaned them up nicely. But yeah, go easy on the saturation.
