Geese - all types - Post Yours!

The Wiki says that they are wintering here but are increasingly also breeding here.

Maybe the soft winters make them stay more and more?
I know what the species does, I was talking about these specific birds so the question remains;haha;.

Don't geese(in Netherland) migrate north in summer to breed and south in winter?

Hmmm, yes, I think you're right. So why do they increasingly stay here to breed? Obviously not for the soft winters.

Egyptian goose.

They're real city birds. Yes, that is a car in the lower right corner.

Another one landing on the roof across from where I live.

In the UK we have wintering geese that visit from the north. They tend to favour traditional sites. In addition we have a lot - and I mean a lot - of feral geese that are descended from escapes, mainly Greylags, but also Barnacle Geese and even Red-breasted Geese and Lesser White-fronted Geese. The Greylangs and Barnacles can turn up almost anywhere. I guess the same may be true of yours.

Probably. I do know that around February large groups of geese are on the move. I always thought they were leaving but I'm in doubt now.
