Ducks - Show Us Yours!

Here's another shot of the mallard hen early in the morning with the low sun blowing out the blue colour of the water. Here with just the one chick.

And an oldie, a Mallard hen portrait. This was taken during a test round with a new (to me) 1D mark III. I had purchased a used one from a shop and returned it, got another, returned that one too because the AF didn't function properly. I couldn't get sharp pics with either camera. I was getting quite desperate. The shop was brilliant though. I went back on 31st December 2014, almost in tears and they sat me down, gave me coffee and cake and got me another one and that one was finally all right. I loved that camera. It's so strange. A year later I got the 1D4 and it was the better camera in every way but I never warmed up to it the way I did to the 1D3. Isn't that odd?

This is not exactly an exciting shot but I love mallards and how they can quarrel. Here the female was chasing the two males and constantly yapping at them. It made me laugh.
Noisy buggers altogether, mallards.

That mallard hen portrait with the 1D3 is a beauty!

Hi Levina, No it's not odd, I have the same feelings with the 7D mkII, I've tried other camera's but I still just feel so at one with the 7D2.
